Meet Michelle, one of our warehouse team members!

In this team feature, we chat with Michelle, a member of our warehouse team who has been part of InterMed for almost three years. She talks about what her day-to-day looks like, the lessons that have shaped her approach to work, and the advice that’s stuck with her. Michelle also shares the moments she’s proud of and how she defines success in her role.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your role within InterMed?

My role at InterMed is to support the smooth operation of the warehouse by receiving and dispatching medical products, focusing on maintaining accurate inventory, following safety and assisting with general warehouse operations. I enjoy being hands-on and working with a team to make sure customers get the right products on time.

Around 3 years

What does a typical day as warehouse team member look like?

A typical day for me starts with checking emails and incoming goods ensuring quantities are correct and the items are in good condition. Throughout the day, I assist my team with picking and packing orders making sure every product is correct and properly prepared for shipment.

What advice can you offer to other warehouse team members who are just starting?

My advice would be to stay organised, ask questions and don’t rush. Take the time to learn where everything is and follow safety procedures. Be reliable, help your teammates and keep a good attitude.

What’s the best bit of advice you’ve ever been given?

Do the work that scares you the most. It’s usually where growth happens.

Tell us about a professional success story that you’re proud of.

I’m proud of when I was recognised with an award by the company.  I didn’t expect it at all which made it very rewarding. It was a reminder that dedication and collaboration with my team truly lead to meaningful outcomes.
